Painting – Scratchboard Art
I am a fine art scratchboard artist based in Prescott, Arizona.
Arizona native and long-time Prescott resident, Joseph Robertson has spent his life in the arts: first as a musician and composer, then as a recording studio owner and engineer, and finally as a visual artist.
Self-taught, Joseph has worked in stone, acrylics and scratchboard. Drawing on a life in the west, the artist’s depictions of wildlife and cowboy life are intricate in detail and rustic in form.
Robertson has won awards at the Phippen Western Art Show, Tempe Festival of the Arts, the Artfest of Henderson, Nevada and St. George Arts Festival. He is a past president of the Mountain Artist Guild and frequent contributor to Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Auction and Big Brothers Big Sisters Auction.
Works by Joseph Robertson are currently on display at Arts Prescott Gallery, The Gallery in Williams, Cactus Wren Art Gallery in Tubac, Cactus Wren Artisians in Tucson, at the artist’s website and at the many art shows he attends each year.
